Support the 'Nothing Can Stop Me' Project

In a small but determined corner of our community, a powerful project is helping young lives grow—Nothing Can Stop Me Life Skill Project. Founded in 2022 by a dedicated couple, this grassroots initiative has become a home of hope and healing for over 40 children and teens aged 5 to 19.

What began as a simple one-hour Bible study has grown into a daily sanctuary where kids learn life-changing skills:
- Gardening and environmental care
- Recycling and sustainability
- Life skills, leadership, and anti-bullying support
- Arts, drama, dance, and creative writing
- Entrepreneurship and community outreach
- Gender reconciliation, drug prevention, and more

Every session is free, fully funded by the founders and occasional small donations. When possible, they pay local tutors to run weekend arts and dance programs, and take children on fun and educational outings, like mountain hikes, forest walks, and beach picnics.

This project doesn’t just teach, it nurtures. Every child is known by name, mentored with love, and guided toward becoming a confident, compassionate contributor to their community.

“The name of my project is *Nothing Can Stop Me Life Skill Project* and it was founded in 2022. It is not yet a registered establishment. It started as a daily Bible Study for 1 hour and grew to general life skills which are:

- Basic gardening (sowing seeds, soil preparation, transplanting seedlings, feeding and pest control).

- Environmental awareness (Street clean-ups, mountain hikes and nature walks). - Recycling (collection of plastic 2 litre cooldrink bottles for garden irrigation and to make borders for growing beds in the garden}.

- Entrepreneurship (harvest and selling of garden crops, food processing and preparation, deliveries and walk-in sales and retention of client)s.

- Leadership and management (Delegation of roles to expose kids to responsibilities). - Gender reconciliation

- Bullyism and general abuse.

- Drugs and gangsterism.

- Visual arts and creative writing.

- Drama and dance.

I am running the project with my wife and when funds are available we hire tutors to assist. The aim is of each child to have a hub which will will cater to every need of each child in the community, from basic needs to psycho-social needs and provide educational assistance in one hub. Our ages are from 5 years old to 19 years old and these are not fixed but it's from the current database. Our project is inclusive as it is more like a home than an organisation, every kid feels specila and loved while being mentored and groomed.

We are working with parents via WhatsApp group chat and all our kids are our neighbors, so the interaction with parents is on daily basis. We do not charge anything for our services, we run the project from our pockets when we have. We pay 3 Arts Tutors for Visual Arts and Drama & Dance sessions every Saturday mornings for 3 hours. We do fun and educational excursions when funds are available, normally we would aim for at least 4 excursions a year with 2 fun and 2 educational.

Here is our break down of fun and educational outings:

  1. Fun - Picnic at the park where dine and play games & beach walk and swim.

  2. Educational - Mountain hikes, Visiting forests, Visiting Ocean Aquarium.

As part of practicals we also have an initiative where our kids are helping the elderly to start a small vegetable garden, so we do house calls and we accept whatever token of appreciation we get, it can be a cooked lunch or money. This is to teach the kids the importance of giving back and the art of creating a strong clientele.”
